Kathy Close: Actress, Model, Media Producer...
As the owner of Close to Spirit Productions, during the past 15 years she has been has been in charge of over 500 independent Body Mind Spirit productions and features for television and film. Kathy prides herself in being a hands on producer involved and trained in all aspects of production from research through the film's distribution and marketing. Ms. Close produced 46 titles for the Hartley Film Foundation including a 14 part series entitled "Sages of our Age" with such notable subjects such as Huston Smith, Ram Dass and Peter Russell and Gregg Braden. She received the first ION's, "Women of Spirit" award in 2007 for her contribution to spiritual film making. Her most recent projects, " Raw for Life" and "Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes Naturally" can currently be seen on the film festival circuit. She is also a well respected journalist and interviewer who has written a daily life style column for Earthlink network and has been featured in numerous magazines, web sites and television. She spent three years as VP of Production for Oasis TV... a cable station that can currently be seen on the Time Warner cable system. She was a pioneer as one of the first producers to use green screen and streaming new media for Msn Internet sites. Her degree is in Nuclear Medicine. In the last year, Kathy has been honing her TV scripts and screenwriting skills. She is hoping to find production partners for two of these scripts: "Jackpot" and "It's All Who You Know."
